Since 1954, Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana (MHANI) has been dedicated to promoting the mental and emotional health of our community by offering advocacy, support services, education, and hope.

MHANI is proud to provide essential information, resources, advocacy, education, and guardianships to help individuals and families better gain access to the prevention, treatment and recovery programs they need to be successful.

Through our adult guardianship services, MHANI serves vulnerable adults in the community who have a mental illness or intellectual and developmental disabilities, who are unable to make sound medical and financial decisions for themselves. These vulnerable adults are highly susceptible to abuse, and appointing a guardian to protect their best interests ensures that these adults receive the best care possible.

We are an independent, tax exempt organization that serves Northeast Indiana residents. We are an affiliate of the national Mental Health America, the country’s oldest and largest organization addressing all aspects of mental health and mental illness.
